LEADERSHIP TEAM
Geoff Cutler
CEO
Geoff joined Mechanical Contractors, Inc. in 2007 with 13 years as an Engineer and Project Manager in the building automation field working for a major equipment manufacturer in their contracting solutions department. He is a graduate of the Nova Scotia Institute of Technology where he studied HVAC and Electrical Construction. At MCI, Geoff is responsible for leading our HVAC Service, Systems Integration, and Energy Services Groups. He also supports all of our design/build projects along with his team.
Dane Osburn
REGIONAL PRESIDENT - RALEIGH
Dane has worked at Mechanical Contractors, Inc. since 1985, serving as a Service Technician, Sheetmetal Technician, Estimator and Project Manager. He graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute with a degree in Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration and has specialized training in DDC Controls and commissioning. He holds N.C. State Contracting Licenses H-1, H-2, and H-3, along with a Plumbing License.
Billy Evans
REGIONAL PRESIDENT - CHARLOTTE
Billy joined MCI in 1996 as a Sheet Metal Helper and has progressively advanced within the company. He currently holds a North Carolina General Contractor’s License, N.C. State Contracting Licenses H-1, H-2, and H-3, and is LEED AP BD&C certified. Additionally, Billy is licensed in South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Texas, Maryland, and Virginia.
Greg Brown
CFO
With over a decade of service to the MCI family, Greg is the lead responsibility for all matters related to accounting, finance, and information technology. Greg’s attentive leadership and industry expertise make him an invaluable member of the executive team who has helped pave the way for MCI’s continual growth and successes. Greg holds an MBA as well as a bachelor’s degree in finance and is a licensed CPA in the state of North Carolina. He is a certified member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Dustin Carter
VICE PRESIDENT OF ENGINEERING
Dustin graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering emphasis in Mechanical Systems. He has over fifteen years of experience and specialty in engineering design, consulting, and project management. His experience includes HVAC, Fire Suppression and Plumbing systems design. Dustin has experience with 20+ LEED projects as the MEP Engineer and 5 LEED projects as a commissioning agent. Dustin is a registered P.E. in North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Texas and Virginia; Certified Energy Manager; and is a LEED Accredited Professional. He is also an active member of ASHRAE.
Barry Misiak
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Barry joined Mechanical Contractors in 2007 and is in charge of Construction Sales and Business Development. Prior to working for MCI, Barry worked for a real estate developer managing properties in Charlotte for 17 years where he gained valuable experience in building construction and operation. He graduated from Triangle Institute of Technology with a degree in RHVAC.
