Geoff Cutler
Geoff joined Mechanical Contractors, Inc. in 2007, bringing 13 years of experience as an Engineer and Project Manager in building automation. He is a graduate of the Nova Scotia Institute of Technology, where he studied HVAC and Electrical Construction. Since joining MCI, Geoff has been an integral part of the company’s leadership team during a period of significant growth and transformation. During this time, MCI has tripled in revenue and expanded into a full-service HVAC provider. His passion for servant leadership and commitment to supporting team members continue to shape his vision for the company’s future.
Dane Osburn
REGIONAL PRESIDENT - RALEIGH
Dane has been part of Mechanical Contractors, Inc. since 1985, building his career from Service Technician and Sheet Metal Technician to Estimator and Project Manager. A graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute with a degree in Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration, he also brings specialized training in DDC controls and commissioning. Dane holds North Carolina State Contracting Licenses H-1, H-2, and H-3, as well as a Plumbing License. His decades of hands-on experience and steady leadership reflect a deep commitment to MCI’s people and performance.
Billy Evans
REGIONAL PRESIDENT - CHARLOTTE
Billy joined MCI in 1996 as a Sheet Metal Helper and has advanced through the organization into executive leadership. He holds a North Carolina General Contractor’s License, North Carolina State Contracting Licenses H-1, H-2, and H-3, and is LEED AP BD+C certified. In addition, Billy maintains contractor licenses across multiple states, supporting MCI’s continued regional growth. His career path exemplifies dedication, expertise, and long-term investment in the company’s success.
Greg Brown
CFO
With over a decade of service to the MCI family, Greg is the lead responsibility for all matters related to accounting, finance, and information technology. Greg’s attentive leadership and industry expertise make him an invaluable member of the executive team who has helped pave the way for MCI’s continual growth and successes. Greg holds an MBA as well as a bachelor’s degree in finance and is a licensed CPA in the state of North Carolina. He is a certified member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Dustin Carter
VICE PRESIDENT OF ENGINEERING
Dustin graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering emphasis in Mechanical Systems. He has over fifteen years of experience and specialty in engineering design, consulting, and project management. His experience includes HVAC, Fire Suppression and Plumbing systems design. Dustin has experience with 20+ LEED projects as the MEP Engineer and 5 LEED projects as a commissioning agent. Dustin is a registered P.E. in North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Texas and Virginia; Certified Energy Manager; and is a LEED Accredited Professional. He is also an active member of ASHRAE.
Barry Misiak
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Barry joined Mechanical Contractors in 2007 and is in charge of Construction Sales and Business Development. Prior to working for MCI, Barry worked for a real estate developer managing properties in Charlotte for 17 years where he gained valuable experience in building construction and operation. He graduated from Triangle Institute of Technology with a degree in RHVAC.
