Mechanical Contractors, Inc. employs Professional Engineers, Senior Designers, Controls Engineers, and AutoCAD Specialists to complete our in-house staff. Each brings his own expertise to a design department which has experience and the luxury provided by an installing contractor to experience the installation and operation of the systems developed. We use the latest computer technologies for load calculations, engineering, layout work and coordination drawings. Our well-earned reputation for quality workmanship and effective design is part of every project. We strive to provide innovative, efficient, and cost effective solutions for each project. Whether designing, developing, or constructing, we focus on energy efficiency, cost control, indoor air quality, and constructibility.
BIM INTEGRATION / REVIT
MCI currently uses Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to create detailed, 3-D mechanical designs for construction projects. We use the design software, Autodesk Revit, to coordinate simultaneously with the architectural and structural models for a well-coordinated, seamless design. Our Revit capabilities contribute to a better overall project experience, providing great value to the design team and owner. With increased error checking abilities and the ability for the entire team to work on the same sheet, we provide more complete and coordinated drawings upfront in the design process.
Sustainable design and concern for the environment is not just what we practice but who we are. We are continuing to learn – constantly redefining, and improving. Our professionals are experienced in working with integrated design teams to design high-performance buildings. Mechanical systems play a significant part in the success of such buildings, through improved indoor air quality, better space temperature and humidity control, and increased energy efficiency. We specialize in applying knowledge to the energy, ventilation, and renewable resources related to HVAC systems.
Integrity, innovation, communication and sweating the details are at the heart of MCI’s operation – key characteristics in developing and maintaining our clients’ trust and ensuring success in a project. MCI assists our clients in implementing a considered approach to sustainable design, carefully balancing initial capital costs with life-cycle costs to achieve an optimum cost/benefit ratio.
